One of the main positives that come with a range cooker is the large cooking capacity. Many of the cookers come with six or eight hobs, combined with a griddle pan or hot plate. Not to mention the multiple ovens and warming drawers. This appliance is perfect for large family or groups needing to deal with multiple catering needs.
It’s also an easy way to create a focal point in your fitted kitchen, but you need to make sure that you buy the right range for your needs.It’s worth thinking about the layout of the kitchen, room available for the appliances, colour and fuel source. The very first range cookers were solely run on solid fuels, however the cookers now come in electric, gas or dual fuel, meaning that they combine the two sources. Fully electric ranges can deliver an almost identical cooking experience without the need for a flue, which means they can be installed in any kitchen with a socket.
Don’t forget that ranges can be extremely heavy, up to 350kg for a cast iron one so your floor needs to be strong enough to hold the weight.
