But for us here at Starplan Fitted Bedrooms, it’s a time for us to look forward and spend some time delving into what the next 12 months might bring us, home improvement wise.

Our New Year always starts with Pantone’s Colour of The Year.
This year the team at Pantone have chosen to go with something they describe as ‘Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this is a colour … that gives us resilience and hope. We need to feel encouraged an uplifted; this is essential to the human spirit.’
Illuminating 13 – 0647 is a bold and bright yellow that is perfect to light up a room. It’s a colour that signifies brightness, joy and the changing of the seasons from winter to spring. It’s reminiscent of those first daffodils peeping up through the snow.
In a move unseen in the past few years, this year two colours have been paired together. They make a colour combo that, in Pantone’s words ‘is aspiration and gives us hope.’
And that colour is Ultimate Grey 17 – 5104.
Grey’s have been growing in popularity year on year. Ultimate Grey is exactly that, the perfect cool toned grey with no hints of blue or purple.
If after the year we’ve had and the unprecedented times that we’re going into, maybe you’re looking into bringing something bright and joyful into your home. And this colour combo could be exactly that! If you’re not looking to paint your entire fitted bedroom yellow, why not stick to neutrals like grey and dress it up with yellow accessories?
